For those new to the group, this is our weekly newsletter for the “Transition into Retirement Together” Meetup group! See below for announcements and upcoming events.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

🗳 We are organizing two interactive discussions with a Medicare expert and an independent financial advisor on the topics of 1) navigating Medicare and 2) financial considerations in retirement. In preparation, please vote here on the sub-topics you’d be interested in exploring in these sessions.

👩‍⚕️ Way to go Donna on a successful kickoff of her “Walk with a Doc” walking group! It was so fun meeting some of you in-person! If you’re in the Boston-area, Donna will be hosting more walks around the Brookline Reservoir soon - stay tuned!

Many of you have expressed interest in finding flexible or part-time work opportunities after retirement. We’re revisiting this topic, this time in a panel discussion format; join us to hear and discuss with 3 individuals who have retired and discovered new roles - some in a similar field, others in a completely different role from their prior career. Tuesday 7/25 at 11am-noon EST: Panel discussion on “Volunteering opportunities in retirement” (virtual)
Looking to volunteer and give back in retirement? Don't know where to start or what you may want to try? How do you find clarity on your volunteering goals?Join a panel discussion with 3 members who have pursued opportunities across environment, education, and even cooking. They'll begin by sharing their experiences, followed by an interactive discussion. Details and RSVP here.
